What is our process for resin driveway installations?

Initial visit, prep stage, installation, and more

After nearly a decade of laying resin driveways for residential and commercial properties, our process has naturally perfected itself. We have tried and tested various methods in the past, but this is the best one we have found. It consists of an initial visit, preparation work, installation, edging, and applying resin. Step 1: Prep Work

The first step can change considerably – in essence, your current driveway will help us decide what prep work is required.

For example, if your driveway has cracks, potholes, or major movement in the groundworks, we must dig everything up, and install a new base.

If your driveway is in an acceptable state, with concrete, tarmac, or slabs, we might be able to use some of it, or all of it, as the base.

With one of our recent projects, half of the driveway needed a new base, because it was a small front garden with grass, and the other half was tarmac, which we could use as the base. This way, you will get to see both scenarios.

As shown in the images above, the existing surface is being used the base. In the images below, we used a digger to prep the area, and used permeable tarmac as the base.

Step 2: Applying Resin To The Driveway

The most important part, we must lay resin on our solid base. This is where the true aesthetic appeal and longevity is made.

As you can see in the images, we lay resin on the entire surface, and let it cure for a few days.

Step 3: Let The Driveway Set

Now that our amazing driveway has been laid, all we need to do is let it set. Most types of resins need about 8 hours to cure, but we would always recommend a minimum of 48 hours before walking or driving on it.
